Today is the day of my half marathon. How did I prepare for this day? Well yesterday I went to karate, and then worked out at home and then biked 13.82 Km. Those may not have all been the best things to do, but I’m not all that concerned about it. I really have no idea what I am doing at running this distance, I have no clue what I should be eating this morning, or if I really should have water with me while running or anything.
I hope to be able to do this in under two hours, in theory I should be able to get it done in around an 1:40 since I used to run 10K on a flatish course in about 47 minutes.
I’m probably not going to be heading out onto the course until about 9am since it is still 0C here and I am not doing this with mitts or earmuffs or whatever on. It’s supposed to get up to 18C today, so I am hoping that by the time I am going it’s a sunny 10C at least.
Here’s hoping it goes well!
Hi Chris! I wish you the best of luck for your half marathon! But we both know prep is even more important--and you did that. So have a great time!
